One of my original premade book covers

There are two things I genuinely love.
Writing.
And creating images.
Years ago, I spent countless hours painting and drawing. Then the digital world arrived, and I embraced it with the enthusiasm of someone who had just discovered there was an easier way to make mistakes—and undo them.
My paintbrushes now live a quiet retirement in a drawer.
I check on them from time to time.
It’s important they know they haven’t been replaced.
Our relationship has simply… evolved.
People often call art a hobby.
I disagree.
A hobby politely waits until you have free time.
Creativity doesn’t.
It behaves more like an overly enthusiastic house guest who rings the doorbell at three in the morning because it has “just one tiny idea.”
And somehow…
I always let it in.
Maybe that’s dedication.
Maybe that’s obsession.
The line between the two is surprisingly thin.
People think I procrastinate.
I don’t.
I simply start walking in three different directions at the same time and eventually forget which one I originally intended to follow.
Even my calendar has stopped arguing with me.
It just watches quietly now.
Sometimes I think it’s judging me.
Whenever I’m working on a creative project, the rest of the world fades away.
That sounds beautifully artistic.
In reality, it means the bread ends up in the refrigerator.
The salami goes into the bread box.
One day I spent twenty minutes looking for the TV remote.
It was in the fridge.
I still have no idea what it wanted to watch.
Another time I almost walked to the grocery store barefoot.
Not because I noticed.
Because halfway there I came up with the perfect book title.
I stopped.
Pulled out my phone.
Wrote it down.
Went home.
The next day I realized I’d completely forgotten to buy the bread I’d originally left the house for.
My optimism, however, is unshakable.
Every new creative project begins with exactly the same sentence:
“I’ll finish this in two days.”
At that precise moment, my calendar quietly looks away.
We’ve been through this before.
My relationship of more than ten years eventually couldn’t keep up with the way my mind works.
Honestly…
I understand why.
It’s not easy living with someone who suddenly shouts during dinner,
“I’ve got it!”
Naturally, the other person hopes you’ve solved something important.
Life.
The future.
A difficult problem.
Instead, I proudly announce,
“I finally know where that comma belongs.”
For reasons I’ve never fully understood…
people don’t react as enthusiastically as I do.
The truth is, my brain never really switches off.
It simply changes subjects.
If I’m not thinking about a story, I’m designing a premade book cover.

Premade Book Covers – Ready when you are →
If I’m not designing a book cover, I’m creating artwork.
If I’m not creating artwork…
I’m probably standing in the kitchen wondering why I walked in there.
So far, the kitchen has refused to answer.
Three months ago, I opened my Etsy shop.
The plan was simple.
Take it slowly.
Build it one step at a time.
Then something happened.
I’m still not entirely sure what.
Before I knew it, my shop contained more than 140 original creations.
Over 100 exclusive premade book covers for indie authors.
Original Fine Art pieces.
And in reality, I’ve already created more than 150 book covers, with some of them now available only through my Ko-fi shop.
Sometimes I stop, look at those numbers, and honestly ask myself,
“When exactly did you do all this?”
My best guess?
During one of those sessions that started with,
“I’ll work for five minutes.”
Creative people should never trust that sentence.
Five creative minutes have a remarkable ability to become seven hours without asking anyone’s permission.
So yes…
Maybe I’m a little unusual.
Maybe I’m obsessed.
Or maybe I’m simply someone who can’t ignore an idea once it appears.
When a story knocks on my door, I invite it in.
When an image refuses to leave my imagination, I keep working until it exists.
And if that occasionally means the bread ends up in the refrigerator…
Well…
Every artist has to make sacrifices.
Mine just happen to confuse the groceries.
