Tattooed biker wearing a glittery pink heart-decorated helmet rides along a coastal road at sunset with the REFLECTION book cover strapped to his back.

This premade cover was designed by BoN Editions

REFLECTION was a dark romance premade book cover who had been waiting for months for someone to buy her.

Her design featured a beautiful woman holding a transparent sheet in front of her face. The image was mysterious, sensual, and sufficiently unsettling to make one thing perfectly clear: nobody in this story was going to have a healthy relationship.

Unfortunately, REFLECTION was tired of waiting.

One evening, she escaped from the bookshop and hired the most notorious biker in the neighborhood to take her to the sea.

The man was tall, tattooed, and unshaven, with the expression of someone who believed the entire world owed him money.

He refused to accept payment.

He collected glittery pink motorcycle helmets decorated with little hearts.

REFLECTION found him one, and he immediately agreed to the trip.

For safety reasons, he pulled a matching helmet over the top of the book cover, then strapped her to his back with two leather belts.

They set off at sunset.

The motorcycle roared along the winding coastal road. REFLECTION swayed against the man’s back, whispering dramatic declarations into his ear.

“Sometimes love is the darkest prison.”

“Uh-huh.”

“Some wounds never heal.”

“Sure.”

“And some men carry a past so terrible that their souls are poisoned forever.”

“Listen, if you say one more word, I’m putting you in the luggage compartment.”

REFLECTION fell silent.

Nobody had ever spoken to her with such passion.

At the first gas station, the biker stopped. He removed his helmet and went inside for coffee.

By the time he returned, the book cover was in love with him.

“I think I’ve found the hero of my story,” she confessed, her voice trembling.

The man sighed.

“Don’t start.”

“You’re the dangerous stranger I’ve been waiting for all my life.”

“I just agreed to give you a ride.”

“Fate brought us together.”

“A pink motorcycle helmet brought us together.”

But REFLECTION was no longer listening.

In her imagination, wedding bells were ringing, black roses were falling from the sky, and the man was finally confessing that beneath his tough exterior lay a broken heart.

Meanwhile, the biker took out his phone.

“Sweetheart, I’ll be home soon,” he told someone in a completely different voice. “Yes, I got the helmet. Exactly the one you wanted.”

REFLECTION froze.

“You’re… married?”

“For twenty-two years.”

“And the pink helmets?”

“My wife collects them.”

The book cover remained silent for a long time.

Then she asked:

“Are you at least unhappily married?”

“No. We’re actually very happy.”

For REFLECTION, this was the most disturbing moment of the entire journey.

A dangerous-looking man with no unresolved trauma, no fear of commitment, and a genuine love for his wife.

She had never encountered anything like it in a dark romance novel.

The next day, she returned to the bookshop.

She’s still waiting for someone to buy her.

She has only one condition for her future author:

Under no circumstances may the male protagonist be emotionally stable.
